Screen Resolution changes on its own automatically In Windows 7, you were forced to reboot to apply all the changes to the display screen resolution. Windows remain maximised and covering the whole desktop, sidebar gadgets stay the same and desktop icons are where I left them. I go to CCC and set it to resize and maintain aspect ratio it'll blow it up (but obviosuly keep the borders on the left and right because of the widescreen
