Apparently there is an old trick from the server days to enable the OS to 'see' more than the 4GB limit.The processes will not be able to address more than 4GB Our forum is dedicated to helping you find support and solutions for any problems regarding your Windows 7 PC be it Dell, HP, Acer, Asus or a custom build. If it was me, I'd get my drivers ready and go back to Windows 7 x64 so you can use all of your memory...memory you paid for. in dxdiag RAM shows 4GB (used to be 3 in 32bit) and VRAM shows 1.7GB, which is absurd.
now i know why my laptop is not shipped with 64-bit out-of-the-box.
