I hope I receive a stable card like malboja :)VanillaGorilla, your card issues sound really bad - and that's weird the problems existed with both the ASUS cards and yoru EVGA I'm thinking there is some slight hardware issue with this card - and I don't want to see it get worse over time. These 2 are the one i currently tried. Sorry if this question seems stupid, I am not a computer geek as you can tell.
Using a heatgun is a very bad idea, it doesn't fix the problem, if anything it makes it worse since the heat is in one spot of the board and warps I'll try to condense it as much as possible - About 2 weeks~ ago: Started noticing that the speakers on the laptop were making a faint popping sound when restarting/shutting down. regards, Paul My System Specs Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number custom OS windows 7 CPU i5 Memory 16gb Graphics Card nvidia geforce popodc View Public Profile Find More Posts by If yes, you can see POST and then windows after soft reset - then it might be driver problem (or a different hardware problem) - if you can't see POST screen

Shut down all programs like precision or monitoring software, especially GeForce Experience. It ran smoothly for a day or two, and that was when I thought I'd fire up Steam and give it a try.
The replacement card should be here next week sometime. On the next black screen of death. I'm wondering, does any of you guys here know what is going on? check over here That was almost English....But anyways, A gpu temp of 35 simply means PoE isn't intensive, which it's not.
I hope I receive a stable card like malboja :)VanillaGorilla, your card issues sound really bad - and that's weird the problems existed with both the ASUS cards and yoru EVGA The peculiar thing about this is that the computer its self didn't shut down, only what I guess is the HDD shut down. It sounds like maybe a conflict with some other hardware in your setup, or driver issues like you said (but many people are playing intense graphics games with GTX 970, so
I'm thinking I am going to RMA this card.
Tried it with tessellation set to Normal, and that also went through the scenes no problem.Weird thing is, after doing some searching it doesn't seem like Skyrim implements tessellation. Shut down all programs like precision or monitoring software, especially GeForce Experience. I actually bought 2 ASUS cards first and returned both for the same issue.

I believe that the problem only occurs when I plug in my graphics card and install the drivers (I'm using the 314.22 driver from Nvidia). I hope you get the issues figured out. You could try to repair it, of course, but do you really expect it to last long enough? Check the temperatures with HWMonitor and you'll likely find that the CPU temps are in excess of 90 degrees Celsius.
Just before I received a error dxgmms1.sys and watchdog.sys, and the regular error ntoskrnl.exe. Edited: satan is here i got hwmonitor working I had to leave safe mode which probably means this thing is going to crash n burn in a matter of minutes nothing A few short hours later and after witnessing what was probably the most terrifying thing in my life (I was watching a random youtube video and a BSOD caused the audio I play other steam games like, Block 'n Load and Path of Exile.
